Where are you from and what high school did you attend?
I’m from Roxbury, MA and I attend Cathedral High School.
Besides cooking, what other passions and interests do you have?
Other passions are anything art related, specifically music, I like creating things. I want to eventually be a producer on the side. I fulfill that passion by playing my guitar and producing music.
What would you tell other young people who are interested in joining our program about Future Chefs?
I would say that FC is a very good way to get used to the equipment in a professional kitchen. It’s also a good way to learn about the community.
What are your school, career, and life goals over the next 3-5 years?
In terms of school, I mostly want to pursue culinary and the long-term goal is to have one or multiple businesses tied to my interests.
Did you have an interest in food before joining Future Chefs?
Yes, I had an interest in how food brought people together and built a community, and had a specific interest in fermenting, I just didn’t have someone to help me with it.
Do you have any mentors who have guided you?
Julius was my mentor, we can relate on many levels and I feel like we both like the community.
