Where are you from and what high school did you attend?

I'm from Mexico City and I attended Everett High School for 1 year and 3 years at Revere High School.

Besides cooking, what other passions and interests do you have and how do you fulfill them?

I enjoy playing video games and skateboarding in my free time. I spend a few hours doing these activities and try to learn them as best as I can.

What would you tell other young people about Future Chefs who are interested in joining our program?

I would definitely tell others about Future chefs so they can have that experience of slowly working with food. Not only that, but the sooner they join the better the experience would be.

What are your school, career, and life goals over the next 3-5 years?

Attend community college to study for culinary arts and work in the food industry, learning as much as I can.

How did you hear about Future Chefs? What made you join the program?

I learned about Future Chefs through a program called Zumix, a music based program for young teens, and was able to get in contact with Future Chefs instructors.

Did you have an interest in food before joining Future Chefs?

I did actually have a interest in food before joining, which actually was the reason for me to join - to hopefully be able to learn a bit more about cooking.

How has the Future Chefs program impacted you? 

Through it I was able to find my current job as a butcher after they were kind enough to come to the Future Chefs program and share a demonstration of what they do.

Would you recommend FC to other young people? 

Yes I would since it's a good program to start off with as a guide to be able to jump into the culinary world with guidance.

How has Future Chefs activities expanded your confidence?

Being able to give it a shot and trying to figure things out.
