Boston, Ma, Dorchester and I went to John D. O’Bryant School in Boston.

Besides cooking, what other passions and interests do you have and how do you fulfill them?

I love animals I want to be a veterinarian.

What would you tell other young people about Future Chefs who are interested in joining our program?

It's a great outreach program and it gives you a lot of opportunities. Not only to learn cooking skills but to also branch out and network. The best part is the great people you meet while going through the program and that the staff are extremely supportive and there for you.

What are your school, career, and life goals over the next 3-5 years?

I am going to Umass Dartmouth Honors College in the fall where I will be a Biology major on a pre-veterinary track. After undergrad I am hoping to go to vet school.

How did you hear about Future Chefs? What made you join the program?

I heard about it through my old summer camp, Camp Harbor View. I was looking for more activities to participate in and I love cooking so I joined.

Did you have an interest in food before joining Future Chefs?

Yes I did. My mom is a baker and she cooks so I was always in the kitchen helping out.

How has the Future Chefs program impacted you?

It helped me gain lifelong friends and build a lot of character. It gave me tons of networking opportunities and taught me how to not only lead but to take a step back and help others.

Do you have any mentors who have guided you?

All of the staff I worked with directly guided me in some way.

Would you recommend FC to other young people?

Yes, I would definitely recommend FC to other young people.

How has Future Chefs activities expanded your confidence?

It helped me to build it up more but I think I’ve always had high self confidence.
