MEET YAHYE

Where are you from and what high school did you attend?

I am from South End, Boston, MA in the USA. I used to attend JQUS and plan on attending Wentworth Institute of Technology.

Besides cooking, what other passions and interests do you have and how do you fulfill them?

I have a passion towards technology. Just finding out how things we use on a daily basis work intrigued me. I fulfill this passion by majoring in computer science and finding out the mechanics behind computers.

What would you tell other young people about Future Chefs who are interested in joining our program?

I would tell them to expect to do things outside of just cooking, which is a good thing. I’ll tell them this because Future Chefs has a lot of electives outside of cooking that are cool.

What are your school, career, and life goals over the next 3-5 years?

I plan on finishing my undergrad in the next 4 years and plan on finding a job in year 4 or 5. I want to be more of a man and a more accomplished person by then and become someone that takes every step to better himself and family.

How did you hear about Future Chefs? What inspired you to join the program?

I heard about it through a job shadow at school, I thought it was cool because I was interested in cooking at the time and didn’t know what I wanted to do after college. I thought that this would give me an idea.

How has the Future Chefs program impacted you?

Other than teaching me how to cook different dishes, it gave me social networks for me to call out for.
